Operation Christmas Child brings joy and hope to children around the world through gift-filled shoe boxes and the Good News of God’s love. Each year, through the efforts of Samaritan’s Purse and churches far and wide, millions of shoe boxes are delivered to underprivileged children across the world.

Operation Christmas Child has become a favorite project with The Bridge Eastgate Christian Church. Each year, we enjoy packing gifts in shoe boxes and joining in a ministry which responds to needs of children and shares the love of Jesus Christ.

In 2008 and 2009 we gathered to fill 100 boxes decorated with gifts donated by church family members and friends. Boxes were filled with socks, soaps, tooth brushes, tooth paste, small toys, pencils, paper, crayons and more! This year, our ministry was extended to our favorite rest home by getting the seniors involved in helping to decorate the boxes with holiday stickers! A great time was had by all!
