Flint & Jennifer Christensen
Pastor & Worship Director

Flint and Jennifer Christensen launched The Bridge Eastgate Christian Church in 1992. They have two children, Nick and Allison. Flint’s passion is to pastor a church of prayer that reaches out to the community so that others may hear about Christ from someone they know and trust.  Flint has endless energy and his love for children is evident as he teaches math at Brett Harte Middle School in Oakland. Jennifer leads the Worship Ministry and brings smiles to the faces of those who know her! Jennifer brings passionate, contemporary, upbeat and meditative worship music to every service. Her ultimate goal is to express our love, thanksgiving and joy for our great God and Savior, Jesus Christ!

Greg Odell
Church Services Director

One of the first things people encounter when they arrive at The Bridge is the consistent smile and friendly greeting that Greg has to give to all who enter. Greg believes…, “God has told us to go and change lives by sharing the Truths of God.  We have the ability to change lives by sharing God’s love and power with those who are unchurched. We are challenged to help others find the purpose God has for them so they may grow and reflect the lifestyle of Jesus Christ.”  Greg occasionally fills in by delivering the morning message in the pastor’s absence.  When not at church, Greg is a volunteer firefighter for Napa County.

Bill & Kathy Murphy
Church Admin Director & Communion Ministry

Bill “Murf” & Kathy Murphy handle the business needs of the church and is responsible for managing church finances, facilities, and records as well as many other duties. He loves being married to his wonderful wife Kathy and being father/grandfather to his kids and grandkids. Kathy’s ministry is Giving and Getting His Pardon, and leads devotionals every week during Communion. Her love of Christ gives her the capability to offer words each week to uplift the hearts and spirits of everyone attending.

Amy Gaylor
Children’s Director

Amy Gaylor directs the children’s program and all Sunday morning children’s activities. Her passion and desire is to see children learn the Word of God at an early age. Helping kids recognize and say “YES” to the call of God in their lives. Amy lives in Fairfield and is a teacher and counselor at Solano Community College.

John & Patricia Lawson
Outreach Ministry

John and Patricia have been faithful to The Bridge since moving to Benicia in 2003 from Southern California where they were active in many aspects of service to Christ. Since retiring, John has found many ways to reach out to others. He volunteers his time to family services mediation and coaches the cross country team at St. Patrick’s High School. When not working as a legal secretary, Patricia can be found crocheting Blankets for Babies and singing with the Worship Team.

Nancy Hall
Outreach & Communion Ministry

Nancy Hall works with Outreach Ministries fueled with her passion to help people connect with God. Nancy is a living testament to the power of Christ and conquering life’s challenges and finish with a smile! When she is not at the church, she can be found hanging out at the Senior Center and ministering to the elderly including visits to local rest homes. Nancy also helps coordinate Blankets for Babies which provides hand made knitted layette/blankets to under privilege mothers in Solano County. Nancy is a professional Pet Sitter and uses her love or animals to reach others for Christ.

Rodney Castaneda
Praise Band Leader

Rodney Castaneda has an ear for music and a passion to worship Christ.  Rodney is self-taught and enjoys leading the band to cast vision and feeling into our contemporary worship experience. Rodney believes God is the audience of our worship at The Bridge and uses his skill and dedication to create a trusted gathering place in our changing world.  He works to create a worship atmosphere where we can connect and communicate with the one true Worship Leader – Jesus Christ! Rodney is also a family man, and keeps up with the ladies of the hour – His awesome wife Mimi and his daughters Nica and Gabrielle, ….as well as his son PJ.

Randy & Inge Herring
Worship & Outreach Ministry

Worship/Hospitality Ministries for newlyweds Randy & Inge, is simple….to worship and praise of God our Maker. Randy shows his praise and honor and glory in word and in song by playing guitar for our Worship Team. Inge demonstrates her serving spirit every week and can be found filling numerous roles, including Hospitality or Outreach ministries and helping in Sunday Morning Children’s activities.

Alex Lockwood
Sound Technician

Alex Lockwood is our Sound Technician who serves the church by setting up the sound systems and making sure they are checked out and properly managed during worship services. Alex’s efforts and dedication is key to our Praise and Worship each week!
